During her residency at C-TAKT, Evelien Cammaert is working on an investigation around the photographic archive that was created over the past few years. Ranging from study material, images that once were or were not selected, the source material for her performances and installations themselves, to the images that emerged from them, for instance as documentation or autonomous photographs.

By scrutinising this archive, she aims to sharpen underlying lines and make connections to recurring themes in her work such as landscape, sensory experience and memory. She wants to make visible the meaning and role of an archive within her art practice and from there explore possible openings to new work.
