IN SITU continues its journey!

From 2025 to 2028, the IN SITU network will launch PLATFORM, a four year programme to identify and support 200 emerging artists creating in public space and non-conventional venues throughout Europe.

The network is pleased to announce the continued support of the European Commission, marking two decades of collaboration and shared commitment.

PLATFORM in a nutshell

Coordinated by Lieux publics in close cooperation with 20 partners, PLATFORM runs from 2025 to 2028 and proposes an innovative and efficient support programme for emerging artists to develop artistic creation at the European level in public space and non-conventional venues.

It takes the form of an international consortium composed of one Coordination entity and more than 20 partners from 21 countries in Europe and beyond : Austria, Belgium, Czech republic, Poland, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia but also UK, USA, Burkina Faso, South Korea and Chile.

Three cycles will be organised throughout the 4 years of the project, each of them welcoming and actively supporting 65 artists selected through curated calls for applications.

The first segment of each cycle offers to all selected artists:

  • an online preparation and training programme focusing on artistic creation in public space.
  • five immersive labs to benefit from the expertise of IN SITU members, work with them on their artistic projects and connect with artists and professionals.
  • a peer to peer programme building on the knowledge of experienced IN SITU artists.

After a second selection, the second segment supports 10 to 15 projects out of the 65 supported in the first segment with:

  • a tailor-made path of residencies and dissemination opportunities.
  • a direct production grant.
  • the organisation of an IN SITU FOCUS showcasing IN SITU emerging artists at the occasion of international festivals in Spain, Kosovo and Austria.

Where are we heading?

With the next European program, IN SITU will open up even further and the community of artistic creation in public space expands:

  • More artists are supported with the clear vision of creating a collective endorsing IN SITU values.
  • The network gathers more partners, other European networks and professionals worldwide increasing cross fertilisation among key actors of the sector.

With its 20 years of expertise, IN SITU network offers a solid platform for booming the international careers of emerging artists. A fertile ground for learning together,  experimenting and meeting key players in the field of arts in public space.

Stay tuned for the open call in December!
