There are tides in this body is a multichannel installation at the intersection of sound art and sculptural practice. Using concrete water bowls and speakers, Lotte and Gillis (Landforms) create a watery, subterranean soundscape that explores the physical relationship between sound and space. For this work, they were inspired by Mesoamerican creation myths, which depict the subsurface as a fertile womb.
