In residence: Ehsan Hemat

Inspired by the poetry of Rumi, Ehsan Hemat explores the possibilities of the human body in interaction with an eighteen-kilogram copper plate. The result is a ritual of both visual and auditory reflections. The equalization of subject (human) and object (plate) invites a dialogue between the earth and our human essence.

During the residency in Dommelhof, Ehsan will work with composer Roeland Luyten on the possibility of composing a soundscape with existing sounds from the brass plate.
