ANGRYBODIES is an explosive performance that celebrates the emancipating power of anger. To the beats of Anne van de Star, Anouk Friedli and Guus Diepenmaat (For Real vzw) bring political manifestos in the form of punk songs. The videos of @angrybodies were shared en masse on social media in a short time.

During this residency we will work on new material for a further development of the concept.

We want to further investigate the boundaries and possibilities of this new form of theatre making. Where our manifestos in the preliminary research were mainly a sum of subjects that we were angry about, we now want to expose the connections between all these subjects. Where does the intersectionality lie in our manifestos? And what story can we tell with this?

To find this story we have to write a lot of new texts, try out a lot of new beats, improvise a lot with our bodies on the floor, try out a lot of different costumes and scream and shout and whisper a lot and discover which hidden angry layers we can tap into with our voice.
