For Beyond the Black Box – February 1 to 4, 2023 – de Brakke Grond, together with the Missionaries, is creating three video portraits of makers who are supported in their development. Salomé Mooij kicks off the action. She can be seen at Beyond the Black Box with Proxemics, a production by SoAP and a co-production with de Brakke Grond.

“I always open the curtains, I get stuffy from black boxes. However, they are beautiful spaces to watch something together, with attention, and I really appreciate the theater hall for that quality. But only when the curtains are gone.”
