Hiros is an organization that supports the development of artistic processes. In realizing her mission, Hiros focuses on the practice of the artists she collaborates with. Based on years of expertise, Hiros creates a sustainable framework for all aspects of creation and research. The collaboration is determined by the specificity of each maker and each artistic proposal. Based on the belief in the importance of a diverse arts landscape, Hiros collaborates with both new and more established makers with hybrid practices in the performing arts.

Hiros joins forces with artists in the medium and long term and together with them builds a network of partners at home and abroad. As part of a larger ecosystem and aware of the dynamics in society and the arts sector, Hiros advocates the interests of the individual artist, monitors the space for artistic experiment and failure and develops new ways of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Hiros works with artists in a Traject Collaboration or a Project Collaboration. We work on career development for all artists we work with. In the long term, Hiros offers support in pre-production, production, promotion, administration and business management, distribution and tour management for all projects. For a specific project, Hiros offers support in pre-production, production, promotion, administration and business management, distribution and tour management of that project.

Hiros is connected to (inter)national partners in all facets of its operations, including outside the arts field. Hiros is structurally supported by the Flemish Government in the context of the Arts Decree. This financing of basic operations acts as a catalyst for frequent artistic work.
