Within ‘Tracing Ancestral Spaces’, KIN Collective investigates the ever-present, but sometimes intangible traces of knowledge and information left behind by our ancestors. In this way, they create virtual imaginative spaces where ancestors are remembered, honored and celebrated.

These spaces offer space for various rituals and memories, without being bound to specific religious or spiritual beliefs, and form a place for collective mourning, homage and celebration.

This research is part of the Heritage trajectory. In this, KIN Collective is guided by their quests for how to give the past a place in the present towards a softer future. For them, the focus is not on determining in advance where their creations will end up, but on the process itself, which embraces care and involvement as core values.
