Mr. Singh

The Sikhs are distinguished by their impressive turbans, long beards and colored robes. The city of Sint-Truiden in particular is known for its large community. With respect for their individuality, choreographer Yentl de Werdt searches for traditional views on their role in society. Mister Singh moves between tradition and future, a search for humanity and individuality. The players, young and old men from the Sikh community, present an original performance from gender and generational perspectives.
