hEAR DROPS – Waste Polyphony

Starting with the fascinatingly rich sound of a simple plastic bag, one can easily build up polyphonic layers. Take your time. Pass the items around carefully. Observe the exact similarity of the sound. Gradually add contrasting layers. Alternate attention between them. Add rhythmic and melodic contours if desired.

hEAR DROPS promotes cooperation between children and teachers based on shared criteria. The principle is simple: watch an episode together, discuss what you’ve seen and heard, watch again, interpret the rules of the game, discuss context and materials, perform together, evaluate together.
