iRRooTTaa

A mass of white ceramic balls overwhelms two acrobatic players. The balls are far from perfect: not quite round, not quite all uneven, far too many. They roll around drumming, jump in all directions, suddenly bubble up in a mouth or irrevocably stick to the ceiling.

iRRooTTaa is a stimulating auditory and visual circus performance by Grensgeval and Circus Katoen, for everyone aged 4 and up. It is an ode to the ‘drop’, an invitation not to keep all the balls in the air all the time. Because sometimes falling is full of new possibilities. Failure is allowed. The rules change too. Because who knows, playing life might just be a lot more fun if we can let it slip through our fingers every now and then.
